Young Women Lessons #9/10 Handout

So proud of myself for coming up with this idea myself instead of getting it from someone else! I made a paper matchbook and on the outside put the words: "CHEWS YOUR ATTITUDE". On the inside of the matchbook I put the phrase; " Will it be sweet or sour?" and placed two pieces of gum...one kinda sweet and one kinda sour. Not teaching this lesson for several weeks, but I am ready with my handout!

Young Women Lesson # 6 Handout

I had a chocolate "LIPS" mold and melted the red wafers, placed them in a small bag with a saying attached: "You can teach better with your lives than you can with your lips".

Take a Seat

YEAH!!!!
Today I got around to putting new fabric on our kitchen chairs. I didn't quite get the bar stools done, but this has been on my list for months now!

The dark brown swirls are the BEFORE and the tan squares are the AFTER.

Baptism Mini Cupcakes

Ever since I got this Mini Cupcake Maker I have been intrigued at the fun things I can do with little cupcakes. They are so cute and small and they just make me smile.
I made a white cake mix and used white frosting with white pearls to decorate the minis. I scanned some stickers and printed a sheet on cardstock and then attached them to toothpicks. They turned out very nice and were very yummy.

Cub Scout Shadow Box

I Just finished assembling the shadow box display for my second son and his Cub Scout awards. He definitely had more belt loops than my first son...and that made things a little challenging.
We were able to attach everything with sticky back velcro.  We had to add extra for all of the pins on the "colors" since it is so much heavier than everything else.

Cinco de Mayo

This year I actually thought that I would surprise my kids and have a FIESTA for Cinco de Mayo. I purchased a sombrero and margarita glasses at the thrift store and some paper decorations at the dollar store. I found a recipe for Sombrero Cookies for dessert and I thought I would show you how they turned out.
